He began his musical studies at Philippine Research of Developing Instrumental Soloists, a program by the St. Scholastica’s College Manila, Philippines, ran in conjunction with the Manila Symphony Orchestra. Raphael was eventually invited to be one of the first of the few young musicians to move up to the Manila Symphony Orchestra whilst being a member of the Orchestra’s Academy program. Raphael obtained a DipABRSM from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in 2015. He finished his Bachelor of Music Performance with Honours in 2021, and Master of Music Performance in 2023 from the University of Toronto.
