Sarah Murley-Hauser, Director
Inspired by her first violin teacher, Heidi Behrenbruch, Sarah has been driven by a desire to deliver excellent music lessons to all her students. She completed her Bachelor of Music under the teachings of Katherine Rapoport and Annalee Patipatanikoon at the University of Toronto. Sarah's extensive teacher development continues to take her all over North America and inspires her to offer excellence and invite a love of music within her students.
Since 2012, Sarah's studio has grown into the Willowdale School of Music. She is looking forward to many years of growth and music-making fun in North York.
When she is not playing, Sarah enjoys walks with her husband and dog, reading, and baking bread.
Marie Anton, Violin
Marie Anton is violinist and music educator from Toronto. She recently graduated from York University with a BA in Music and Psychology. Born in Egypt and raised in Dubai, Marie came to Toronto to pursue her higher education, where she studied violin under the tutelage of the late Jacques Israelievitch, Mark Skazinetsky, Martin Bazarian, and Steve Koh. She has participated in the Tafelmusik Summer Baroque Institute as well as the Northwestern Summer Violin Institute in Chicago.
Marie is passionate chamber and orchestral musician, she served as concertmaster of the York University Symphony Orchestra from 2018-2019 and has been part of the Ontario pops and York chamber ensemble orchestras.
Marie has also been a music educator around the GTA for a number of years and is highly driven inspire and help students achieve their best.
Natalie Vong, Piano & Voice
Mezzo- Soprano Natalie obtained her Bachelor of Music Honours in Voice Performance degree under the tutelage of Patrica Green and Jennie Such from the University of Western Ontario.
Since the age of 11, Natalie has been singing and performing with various choirs and participating in musicals in school and at music camps. Realizing her love for music, Natalie decided to take professional voice lessons at the age of 16. She has performed in numerous operatic productions in that time,as well as holding the choral scholar leader position at Westmount Presbyterian Church in London, Ontario where she led the choir with ensemble and solo moments at successful concerts within the community.
Aside from singing, Natalie also has a deep love for other musical instruments such as the piano. She started playing the piano at the age of 5 and obtained her Grade 8 Piano with the Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music (UK) in 2014. She is currently working towards her goal in becoming an opera singer and music educator.
