Karsten Stryker started playing guitar at age 11, growing up in a musical family. Since then, he has been involved in many musical activities and groups including musicals, jazz combos, bluegrass bands, and the Toronto All Star Big Band. Karsten also enjoys playing other stringed instruments, such as the ukulele and banjo. He is currently finishing his final year at the UofT Jazz program, where he is a student of Ted Quinlan. As a teacher, Karsten’s approach is student-centered, with an emphasis on curiosity, exploration and fun.
