I've been playing drums and guitar for for over 20 years and have taken consistent private lessons throughout. In addition I have recently completed my fourth year of the Bachelor of Music program at Humber Polytechnic. The concepts in music theory, ear training, sight reading and technique I’ve studied in this program have greatly informed my approach to music. This has further added to my foundational toolkit and has aided in my goal of creating a clear and tangible way of approaching my instrument. I've spent most of my life with involvement in the arts and creative fields, including three years studying visual arts at Centennial College. This aided in my disciplinary and problem solving skills centered around applying knowledge of a given field to a project. It helped me to discover how I effectively learn and the unique pathways I would take to execute a vision. I believe these avenues have lead me to develop a creative and intuitive philosophy around music which I can impart on these students. Every student has different needs and my goal is to aid in helping them get from point A to point B in an accessible way.
